Tactical Outside Waistband Holster With Safariland QLS Fork

First I want to say if there was a way to 4.5 stars I would. This is my 4th ANR holster and the quality is on par with the others, which is why i keep coming back. Ok, my only critique. I bought this for my Kimber 5″ 1911. When holstering, the gun tends to overtravel about a qtr inch, which makes the thumb safety push the sweat guard out just a bit. Functionally, I doubt it will cause an issue, but I fear it may cause premature wear on the sweat guard, time will tell. ANR, if you see this, I would suggest finding a way to make the gun ‘bottom out’ to prevent over travel in the holster, maybe by using a rubber wedge at the retention screws (stopping the trigger guard), or contour the bottom of the holster to stop the slide/barrel from travelling past the proper position. (I recognize the challenge of creating a holster to fit 1911s made by so many different companies). That said, the fit and finish is still absolutely top notch, and this may be an issue unique to 1911s. Still a great piece of gear
