Rodolfo Lipizer was an Italian violinist, composer, teacher, and orchestra director. He dedicated himself with passion to teaching and didactics, always looking for and applying the most valid, modern and effective solutions to technical and interpretational problems related to the violin. In Basic Violin Technique he uses the rational classifications of violin technique introduced by C. Flesch, but further subdivides the didactic method, delving mainly into the basic elements of left hand technique.
