U.S. SMITH CIVIL WAR BREECHLOADING CARBINE

.50. caliber, 20″ barrel, breechloading break-open  action with external hammer.   Walnut forend and buttstock.  The metal parts showing an even gray gun metal color, with a very nice bore and rifling.  Nice wood and visible cartouche.  Good stampsing on the receiver.
