U.S. SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1884 TRAPDOOR RIFLE

.45-70  Gvmt. caliber,   32 5/8″ barrel secured by two barrel bands.  Adjustable rear ” Buffington” sight.  Walnut stock with very faint inspector’s cartouche at the wrist.  In very fine condition showing areas of blue mixing with gunmetal.  Good bore and mechanically excellent.  Nice wood.  Great shooter.
