.54 caliber, percussion ignition, 21″ barrel secured by a brass band. Walnut forend and buttstock ending with a brass buttplate. The barrel showing an even plum-brown patina with a crisp barrel stamping. The receiver has a pleasing brown patina with some small areas of roughness along with lock. Very fine wood showing handling marks but free of damage. Visible car-touche. Nice bright bore. Very pleasing overall.
