.30-06 Gvmt caliber, 24″ barrel dated “S.A. / 6 42” with the bursting bomb and star present. Correct parkerized finish and “C” stock with the rifle’s serial number stamped in the sight well. The bolt handle marked “NS” and the serial number pencil engraved on the top. Purchased in the early 1950’s through the DCM/CMP it appears to have been retailed as a match grade rifle with one of the replacement barrels installed at that time. The rifle in addition to the standard rear barrel sight is fitted with a globe front and Lyman 48 rear. Excellent overall condition and mint bore.
